How the Singapore work permit usually works
These are general steps for information only. The actual process depends on your employer and job type, and rules may change.
- 1Your Singapore employer applies for the relevant work pass (for example Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit)
- 2Your documents and qualifications are reviewed
- 3In-principle approval issued by the authorities, if approved
- 4Travel to Singapore
- 5Medical examination and registration formalities, where applicable
- 6Work pass issued by the authorities, if approved
